Fabulous Crape Myrtle & A Find!

This may be my shortest post ever!
Just had to share our fabulous Crape Myrtle.

This magnificent tree never disappoints.
This first lush bloom is thanks to a good dose of rain.
Blooms continue into September.  Heavenly!

Quickly sharing one sweet find...

Mr. Retro nabbed this vintage Olympia typewriter at the Flea Market for
$3.00!  Every key works.  Amazing! Found ribbon on Amazon, so
we are ready to go.  I will definitely use this for crafting and more.

Have a terrific weekend!

  2. Pretty! I planted a baby one before but then we moved. Story of my life!

    Nice typewriter find!

I'm starting to make fall yo yos with some of the circles you gave me.
    Thanks again- you're so sweet!

  3. Argh ... I just wrote a comment and it went POOF! Thankfully I remembered to copy it (for once in my life) before hitting preview ...

Your tree is sooooo lovely Pam, just gorgeous!

And great typewriter find too! I've got two of my moms (even older ones), need to find a ribbon and play.

    Happy weekend!

  4. Your crape myrtle is gorgeous! I had tons at my last house, but this yard is too shady. I only have one, and the previous owner ignored it, so it is surrounded by a bunch of 60-year-old pecan trees. It's grown extremely tall and skinny trying to get some sun. It still blooms a little, but nothing like yours. You're going to have so much fun with your typewriter. That was a great buy!

  5. Pam, your tree is beautiful. It will be so fun to enjoy it until September. I had never heard of these until I saw one that Beverly had on Pink Saturday and now yours. I really love the typewriter too and for $3 that is a steal! Have a great weekend! Hugs, Dianne

  6. What's the secret to getting your crape myrtle to bloom? I have had one for years and it had only bloomed a little twice! Yours is amazing...:) I love the vintage typewriter too....so cool and such a steal! Enjoy the weekend.

    Blessings, Vicky

  10. Wow! What an amazing crepe myrtle! Every time I see a typewriter like that I can hear my old typing teacher saying "FFF space, GGG space, etc..." dating myself there!

  14. Oh, crepe myrtle, I love it...sooo beautiful! They won't grow in Pittsburgh but I'm hoping we can have one in Delaware. I think that's far south enough.
Mr. Retro has a good eye...$3.00....holy cow!
I'm sorry for slobbering all over this post, Pam!
    I'm just a little lustful-lol!
