Retro 50's-60's BBQ Table for the 4th!

  Independence Day is fast approaching!
America's day for celebrating and showing off our spirit!
Sharing my holiday porch table today.

Starting with vintage tablecloth by Simtex,
appropriately named BAR B QUE.

Look at this scared eyed cow (oh my).
You know those weren't veggie burgers on the grill.

They had a strange sense of humor in the 50's!

Cool 3-section BBQ plates, vintage MIJ chef S & P set.

1962 Calendar towel featuring the family backyard BBQ!
Think we need a close up...

Don't you always wear a full skirt to your BBQ?

Calendar towels are not my favorite, but this
1962 towel is spectacular!

50's metal serving tray.  Love these graphics.

How cool is this plate?  No mark or back stamp,
maker unknown to me.

Whatever your plans, have a happy and safe July 4th!

I'll be joining in some parties!

  1. I normally steer clear of the calendar towels too but I would have grabbed that one up in a second! Super cute graphics and it really captures the retro cookout vibe.

As always, love your tablescape. Can't wait to share mine:-)

  2. I was born in 62 so of course, I like that towel! I like it no matter what year.
I would love to build a brick grill like that. There were so popular.

  3. That's such a cute table for the 4th. I love the expression on the cow's face. :)

  4. Love, love, love this table! So cool. You have such an eye for vintage table stuff. That cow made me laugh, he's like, "Uh-oh!" :)

  5. Hi Pam!
Your summer barbecue stuff is great! Love the tablecloth, so much fun. I'm not a big linen towel calendar person either but that one is adorable! Love her skirt and dad's apron and hat. Adore the divided dish (what are those called???).
    Happy grilling to you! :)

  6. Happy 4th to you! Your retro BBQ should offer a great way to celebrate.

  7. I love those sectioned plates! Those are awesome and perfect for a barbeque! Your table looks great...:) Have a blessed 4th!

    Life On Willie Mae Lane

  8. What a festive tablescape! Love those salt & pepper shakers. Happy 4th!!

  9. What a fun idea! I can see my mom and dad back in the day! It's like your tablescape spurred my memory! Thanks for that!

  10. Oh I love the plates and the tray! You have such cool pieces. Fun table! Happy 4th!

  11. Love it!! Your vintage linen collection is so neat to see!! The serving tray is so sweet!! Happy 4th of July!! xo Heather

  12. Oh Pam, so much fun stuff to look at on your outdoor table!! I LOVE seeing all your vintage items. You're one lucky girl to have such a great collection. Happy 4th to you!!

  13. Eke! Your table décor is awesome! Happy 4th of July!

  14. Love it all! I've been wanting to get some of the midcentury bbq plates I see on eBay, but always so pricey. Hoping to find some at an estate sale or thrift some day. I always end up over here from a blog party, might as well follow you on Bloglovin! Adding you now. Take care - Dawn

  15. Your 50's presentation brought back a lot of memories. You did it up right.

  16. LOVE the graphics on that '62 towel and that tray. What a fun way to celebrate the day!
    Happy 4th!
P.S. Yes, make one of those picket fence flags! A few weeks ago I found a bunch of pickets curbside, so I'm thinking of making one for the back porch too!

  17. Those are all great retro items! I love the graphics on the table cloth and the calendar. I'd love to have a calendar like that from 1961 (the year my husband and I were born)! Thanks for sharing. Now I have something new to be on the hunt for.

  18. I adore that 1962 BBQ towel! It's so cute!

  19. Vintage BBQ!!! Oh wow! Love it all! Thanks for sharing with us at TTF this week.

  20. Wow! Everything is so cool!! I especially love those divided plates!!

  21. Great stuff for this time of the year, love it all!!

  22. Pam, I love your fun retro BBQ items. The sectional plates are fabulous! And yes, I always dress for our BBQ's. lol! That's to say, I don't show up naked. If I did that could be the reason for the scary eyed look on that cow. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
